July Newsletter

Hello and Happy Summer!

We hope this July newsletter finds you happy, healthy and enjoying some summer sunshine! As always, we thank you for stewarding in partnership with us.  We are blessed with each and everyone one of you.  We know God will continue to guide us! Take time to pray this summer and stay connected to your local parish and The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas.

CATCH THE VOLUNTEER TRAIN Earlier this week, some of the staff from the Catholic Foundation and the Stewardship and Development Offices boarded train number 9 from the Chancery. The train made a rumbling sound, the whistle blew, the brakes hissed and screeched and when the train slowed down to a stop we had landed at the Prince of Peace Olathe Gymnasium. After arriving safely at our destination and upon exiting the platform edge, we began our volunteering journey. The Office of Special Needs Ministry with the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas hosted a Totus Tuus for People with Special Needs and Siblings this week.  We were blessed with the amazing opportunity to be able to set-up decorations and corn hole activities. We took photos of all the participants and worked the check-in table. What a wonderful experience to be a part of the first day of a week-long Totus Tuus God-centered adventure. We hope you all take some time this summer to stay connected with your local parish or favorite organization and volunteer a few hours of your time to help and evangelize our Catholic Faith. (Pictured from Left to Right: Geri Nickels, Christina Megee, Marcea Brown, Jane Schmitt and Bill Maloney)
