Estate Planning Workshop

St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee welcomed renowned estate planning attorney, Casey Conneally, for an evening workshop on Wills & Trusts: Creating Your Legacy. The event took place on October 2 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM and approximately 35 people were in attendance. At this presentation, Casey talked about ways to avoid probate, how to get the most out of your estate plan, and how to leave a legacy with your favorite charities. Catholic Advisors Network

Kansas City

The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas held its Fall Kansas City Catholic Advisors Network event on October 23, 2024, at the Church of the Nativity parish hall, featuring guest speaker Justin Whitney from Lathrop GPM LLP. We were thrilled to welcome a diverse crowd of around 30 professionals, including attorneys, wealth advisors, financial planners, tax professionals, and insurance advisors, all seeking to deepen their expertise and serve their clients with faith-centered guidance. Advisors in attendance also had the opportunity to earn valuable continuing education credits.

Sacred Heart, Emporia

Tax Reducing Strategies

On October 17, Sacred Heart Parish in Emporia hosted Bill Eckert of Renaissance Financial for a luncheon on Tax Reducing Strategies for Pre- and Post- Retirees. Around 20 attendees participated in the conversation and learned about ways to avoid taxes on their income and maximize their philanthropic impact. The Catholic Foundation is appreciative of the Sacred Heart Altar Society for providing a wonderful lunch.
