We have organized another strong, Catholic-centered program with a great speaker lineup for the 13th annual St. Thomas More Continuing Education Program. Our CE Program is a great opportunity to network in person, obtain continuing education credit, and support the Catholic professional community.

The Catholic Fine Arts Council is excited to host the 9th Annual Archbishop's Invitational High School Art Exhibit Awards Reception and Exhibit! This year's theme, "Eucharist, May We Never Lose Our Wonder" invites students to meditate upon the miracle of the Eucharist, and depict their own personal encounter with Christ in the Eucharist through the expression of their artistic talents.

GivingTuesday was a joyful success this year! The generosity throughout the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas will be transforming communities in the years to come. This year's leaderboard reports online gifts totaling $94,499.93, with 478 donors making gifts to 41 participating parishes, schools, and ministries. There will be many impactful projects initiated throughout the Archdioceses of Kansas City in Kansas. Thank you to all of those who were able to donate this GivingTuesday!

GivingTuesday is a worldwide day of joyful giving. The day falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and kicks off the charitable season of Advent by inviting people to give thanks and give back. This year, GivingTuesday will help 41 parishes, schools, and ministries within the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas with funding many needed projects. The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas is hosting an inaugural event for the Catholic Advisors Network. This new Catholic Advisors Network will bring together estate planning attorneys, accountants, financial planners, wealth managers and insurance advisors to promote collaboration, education and leadership in current and legacy giving among their Catholic clients.

The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas will be hosting the Deo Gratias Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Savior Pastoral Center from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas will be celebrating this year's honorees including Distinguished Family: Don and Janice Arth and Distinguished Organization: Catholic Education Foundation.

All are invited to come hear about how the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas helps parishes, schools and Catholic organizations secure long-term gifts. Members of parish and finance councils, endowment trustees, Catholic Legacy Society members, scholarship fund holders and endowment management staff at your parish, school or ministry are encouraged to attend and bring a friend.

The Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas (CFNEK) is honored to welcome three exceptionally accomplished individuals to our board of directors. Andrew Comstock, Deacon Jason Imlay and Veronica Sellers, bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise that will advance CFNEK's mission and benefit our Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.

Congratulations to these smiling students from John Paul II in Overland Park, Kansas. These students were honored at a recent scholarship awards ceremony. Zella Handzel and Payton Knaus were the recent recipients of the Mary Anne Brown Scholarship Fund and Carleigh Heffron was awarded the Anita Striegel Scholarship Fund scholarship. Both of these scholarship funds were set-up to benefit students attending John Paul II. These scholarships are held and managed at the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas.

The Archbishop's Invitational High School Art Exhibit Awards reception was held on March 4, 2022 at Savior Pastoral Center. Now in its eighth year, this annual opportunity serves as a celebration of the God-given talent of the young people in our schools.

This Sunday is the third Sunday in Advent, known as Gaudete Sunday. "Gaudete" means "rejoice" and this Sunday is meant to encourage us on our journey to Bethlehem. The theme is joy and gladness as we anticipate the celebration of Christ's coming.

The team at the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas is thrilled to let you know that we have updated our Stock/Mutual Fund Gift Instructions. The Catholic Foundation reached out to our investment manager, Tower Wealth, to see how we could modernize our stock gift procedures. Tower Wealth offered a solution that is more secure, efficient, faster and less expensive. Therefore, increasing the value of our fundholders gifts and the proceeds available for their beneficiaries. We are delighted to have so much activity going on at the Catholic Foundation of Northeast Kansas' office. Within the past month, we have been buzzing with energy.
